Burbank Parks and Recreation has compiled a list of fun and safe ways to stay active and engaged.

- Go hiking! The Stough Canyon and Wildwood Canyon trails are open or explore a neighboring trail.
- Swim at the Verdugo Aquatic Facility
- Play a round of golf at DeBell Golf Club
- Play Pickleball at Larry L. Maxam Park, Burbank Tennis Center, or at George Izay Park.
- Play tennis at Burbank Tennis Center or one of our park tennis courts.
- Do some spring planting or work on your yard
- Practice your sports skills and view current opportunities from the Sports Office
- Go for a drive

STAY CONNECTED
- Project HOPE - Burbank Residents 55 and older who are in need of assistance are encouraged to contact Project HOPE, a program that pairs seniors with volunteers to help with grocery shopping, picking up prescriptions, and other essential errands. If you would like to volunteer or need assistance, please call (818) 238-5370 or email us at [email protected].
- Phone Pals - This program matches volunteers with seniors who are in need of regular phone visits. For more information, please call the Joslyn Adult Center at (818) 238-5353
- Connect with Others - Catch up with a friend or relative you may have not spoken to. Write a letter. Connect via videochat. Hold a virtual playdate online. Talk with people you trust about your concerns and how you are feeling.
- Exercise Mindfulness - Take deep breaths, stretch, or meditate. It’s important you take the time to practice self-care, even for just a few minutes each day. There are many resources available online.
- Stay Nourished
- Burbank Nutrition Services (BNS) offers meals for older adults and homebound individuals who qualify. For more information, please call (818) 238-5366.
- Burbank Unified School District's (BUSD) Meal Program is available for students on free and reduced lunch. For more information, contact the BUSD Food Service Office at (818) 729-4539.
- Try a new recipe! There are plenty of online tutorials to help you whip up something new.
- Take Breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media.

- Check out the Burbank Public Library online services to read ebooks or stream TV, movies, music and more. They are also hosting an online book club Burbank Reads and Mini Storytimes. Follow @burbanklibrarykids, @burbanklibraryteens and @burbankpubliclibrary for more information.
